Meet your Hosts, Jess and Dave!

Jess grew up in Bucks County, coming to the Poconos for family vacations most summers and winters. She always felt there was something so calming and magical about this area and has fond memories of reconnecting with nature and being so present with loved ones.

Dave grew up in Staten Island and hadn’t been to the Poconos until 6 months before the purchase of Wander and Root Cabin!

Nine fun facts about us…

1.) Dave moved to South Florida after an extremely cold winter and lived there for 20+ years.

2.) Jess accidentally moved to South Florida after meeting Dave during a yoga teacher training in 2013.

3.) They moved to Pa to be closer to family during covid. (Although they Zillow Florida homes every winter ;))

4.) They have 17 years combined in the hospitality industry (bartending, serving, catering)

5.) They are both obsessed with travel and determined to instill that in their kids, Luca (7) and Mila (3)

6.) Jess traveled to 20ish countries in her 20s teaching English as a Second Language.

7.) They currently live in Doylestown and started a local community newspaper there called the Cardinal in 2021 (check us out… @cardinal_community_news)

8.) They rented out their own home on Airbnb and furnished finders for 1.5 years before the purchase of Wander & Root Cabin.

9.) They LOVE hosting and getting to be a part of creating guest’s experiences!
